Guwahati, April 7 -- The start of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2026 match between Rajasthan Royals and Mumbai Indians was delayed due to a wet outfield at the Barsapara Cricket Stadium here on Tuesday.
The 13th match of the ongoing season, scheduled to begin at 7:30 PM local time, faced an initial setback as drizzle on the field prevented timely commencement of play.
As per updates from the ground, covers were gradually being removed around 7:18 PM local time, raising hopes of an early start if conditions improve. The groundstaff were seen working diligently to dry the outfield and make it match-ready.
