Mumbai, May 24 -- Five-time champions Mumbai Indians won the toss and elected to field against Rajasthan Royals in their Indian Premier League 2026 league match at the Wankhede Stadium here on Sunday.

Mumbai skipper Hardik Pandya said the pitch looked hard and was expected to improve under lights, prompting his decision to bowl first. He also revealed that premier pacer Jasprit Bumrah had been rested, with Deepak Chahar returning to the playing XI.
