New Delhi, July 30 -- The Centre on Monday said Meta has given a written apology, expressing regret over the removal of Prime Minister Narendra Modi's Facebook video on anti-paper leak measures.
Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY) Secretary S. Krishnan said the Centre has summoned the highest-level official from the social media giant, adding that its initial response failed to address the government's concerns.
The MeitY has sought a detailed policy and technical explanation from Meta regarding the incident, questioning the content moderation systems and processes that led to the removal of a post from the PM's official account.
