New Delhi, July 7 -- Police have arrested the driver of a Mercedes car in connection with a fatal road accident that claimed the life of a scooter rider near the Foot Over Bridge at Jahangirpuri Bus Stand on the Outer Ring Road.
The victim, identified as Deepak, a resident of Mangolpuri, died after his scooter was allegedly hit by the speeding luxury car on July 5. His body was sent for post-mortem examination.
According to police, a PCR caller reported that a Mercedes car had struck the scooter and fled the scene. During the investigation, the vehicle was traced and the driver was identified as Ansh Pratap Singh.
