Srinagar, Aug. 14 -- Jammu and Kashmir Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) President Mehbooba Mufti on Friday urged the Jammu and Kashmir government to take immediate corrective measures to address the reported deterioration of academic, administrative and financial affairs at Baba Ghulam Shah Badshah University (BGSBU), Rajouri, and protect the interests of students and faculty.
In a statement, Mehbooba said BGSBU holds immense significance for the people of the Pir Panjal region and was established to provide quality higher education to students from Rajouri, Poonch and adjoining areas.
She said the institution cannot be allowed to weaken on account of prolonged administrative and financial difficulties.
