Shillong, July 30 -- Meghalaya wrapped up the enumeration phase of the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of electoral rolls on Thursday, with more than 2.24 lakh electors to undergo detailed verification after they failed to link with records in the SIR, 2005 database, an election official said.

State Chief Electoral Officer (CEO) Dr. Brahma Deo Ram Tiwari said a total of 2,24,234 electors (9.54 per cent of the total electorate) could not be linked with the records of the SIR, 2005 and have been categorised under the "No Mapping" category.
