Shillong, May 30 -- The Meghalaya government on Saturday signed the host state agreement here with the Indian Olympic Association (IOA) for the 39th National Games scheduled to be held next year in the state.
The agreement was signed by Chief Minister Conrad Sangma for the state and PT Usha, IOA President, in the presence of union Minister of Youth Affairs and Sports, Mansukh Mandaviya, union Minister of State for Youth Affairs & Sports, Raksha Nikhil and senior government officials.
The revised agreement strengthens the partnership between the State and the IOA by clearly defining the legal, financial, and operational responsibilities of each party in greater detail.
