Shillong, June 16 -- The Anti Narcotics Task Force (ANTF) of the Meghalaya Police has arrested three notorious drug traffickers and seized 53 grams of heroin from their possession, police said on Tuesday.
The three drug traffickers identified as Sahidul Hussain (35), Saddam Hussain (35) and Rashidul Hoque (23) (all residents of of Assam's Goalpara district) were arrested on Monday in Tikrikilla area under West Garo Hills district during a naka operation, Vikash Kumar, the ANTF chief, said in a statement.
Kumar informed that upon search as per NDPS Act, the team recovered and seized five plastic soap boxes containing suspected heroin, two motor bikes and three mobile phones.
