Shillong, April 24 -- A civil defence air raid and blackout mock drill was conducted across Meghalaya on Friday to assess state emergency preparedness, strengthen inter-agency coordination, and familiarise citizens with response protocols during crisis situations.
The exercise, entitled "ARMEX-I 2026" was coordinated by the Directorate of Civil Defence & Home Guards, following directives from the Ministry of Home Affairs to enhance emergency preparedness.
