Shillong, Aug. 26 -- The agitating Khasi Students' union (KSU) on Tuesday accepted the Meghalaya government's invitation for talks over its five-point charter of demands, but warned that it will intensify its agitation if the outcome of the meeting is not fruitful.
The meeting is scheduled on Wednesday in the Conference Hall, Meghalaya Secretariat, Main Building, Shillong, Joint Secretary in-charge Home (Political) DD Syngai informed the union.
KSU Publicity Secretary Pynshai Kupar Dkhar said the Central Executive Committee has accepted the government's invitation and hopes for a positive outcome.
However, Rani cautioned the government that the union would intensify its agitation if the meeting ended in a stalemate.
