Rongara, Sept. 10 -- Meghalaya Chief Minister Conrad Sangma on Thursday took citizen-centric governance directly to one of the state's remotest regions, -- at Rongara in South Garo Hills -- with the CM Connect Block-Level Community Interaction Programme platform bringing citizens, elected representatives and senior officials together to address issues affecting the people.
The programme placed Sangma at the centre of a direct citizen-government conversation, with residents raising concerns on essential services, infrastructure and livelihoods and the concerned departments responding to the issues during the interaction.
