Rongara, Sept. 10 -- Meghalaya Chief Minister Conrad Sangma on Thursday reaffirmed the government's commitment to accelerating development in rural and border areas, aiming to bring governance directly to the people.
Inaugurating the Block Integrated Development Complex of the Rongara Community and Rural Development (C&RD) Block in South Garo Hill district, Sangma said the new complex is aimed at strengthening administrative infrastructure and improving the delivery of government services to people in the rural area.
Sangma praised Siju Rongara MLA Rakkam A. Sangma for his efforts towards the development of his constituency and said the new building reflected the MLA's commitment to the area.
