Shillong, July 21 -- The 14th meeting of the BIMSTEC (Bay of Bengal Initiative for Multi-Sectoral Technical and Economic Cooperation) Joint Working Group (JWG) on Counter Terrorism and Transnational Crime was held in Meghalaya's capital, Shillong, today, an official said.

Delegates from seven BIMSTEC member states-India, Sri Lanka, Thailand, Bangladesh, Myanmar, Nepal and Bhutan-attended the meeting.

During the meeting, the delegates reaffirmed its shared commitment to strengthening regional cooperation in combating money laundering, terrorist financing, proliferation financing, and other evolving forms of financial crime.
