New Delhi, July 26 -- The Ministry of External Affairs today issued a fresh advisory urging Indian nationals to exercise extreme caution before accepting employment on commercial vessels operating in or transiting the conflict-hit Black Sea region, warning that escalating missile and drone attacks have made the area increasingly hazardous and have claimed the lives of five Indian seafarers since April this year.

The advisory comes amid continued hostilities in and around the Black Sea, where merchant vessels have increasingly become vulnerable to attacks, heightening concerns over the safety of civilian shipping and international maritime personnel.
