Lucknow, Sept. 17 -- Terming the BJP government imposing MDR on UPI transactions as a money-grubbing scheme, Samajwadi Party National President Akhilesh Yadav said that his party will oppose any move to realise any money from the public or small merchants."These schemes have been devised to fill the pockets of industrialists like the other schemes of the Central government," he said while commenting that it is like an old system of "Chungi"(octroi).
Addressing a press conference here on Thursday, Mr Yadav said that the government, in an effort for a trillion-dollar economy, was harassing the public under the name of such money-minting schemes.
