Chennai, June 7 -- MDMK General Secretary Vaiko along with his party cadres were arrested when they attempted to take out a march to Lok Bhavan on Sunday evening after staging a protest demonstration condemning saffronisation of Saint Tamil poet Thiruvalluvar by Tamil Nadu Governor R V Arlekar and demanded abolition of the gubernatorial post.
Addressing the protestors, Vaiko, claid in blank pant and black shirt questioned the audacity of the Governor in adorning Thiruvallvar in saffron robes in a portrait at an event held in Lok Bhavan a couple of days back.
