Panchkula, Aug. 27 -- Panchkula Mayor Shyam Lal Bansal conducted a surprise inspection of the Municipal Corporation office in Sector 4, catching officials and employees off guard and triggering considerable activity in the civic body office.
The surprise visit on Wednesday was reportedly carried out following repeated complaints regarding the functioning of the Municipal Corporation.
During the inspection, the Mayor took stock of the attendance of employees, the functioning of various sections and the status of work related to the general public.
BJP councillors Paramjit Kaur from Ward No. 2 and Deepak Garg from Ward No. 13 also reached the Municipal Corporation office along with the Mayor during an inspection.
