Lucknow, July 31 -- Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) President Mayawati has welcomed the Uttar Pradesh government's decision to rename Bhadohi district as Sant Ravidas Nagar and sought restoration of the names of other districts honouring great persons hailing from Dalit and Other Backward Classes.
While expressing gratitude to the government for restoring Sant Ravidas Nagar, she urged that the original names of other districts created during the BSP regime to commemorate great personalities like BSP founder Kanshiram, be restored.
