Lucknow, Sept. 20 -- Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) president Mayawati, reiterating her resolve to stay away from nepotism, said that only Ishaan Anand, the son of her younger brother Anand Kumar, would be given a position of responsibility within the party. However, she clarified that if Ishaan commits a serious mistake like his brother Akash, he too would be expelled from the party.
In a detailed message released on the social media platform 'X' on Sunday, Mayawati said that she has decided to follow in the footsteps of Bahujan Samaj Party founder Kanshi Ram. After entering politics, Kanshi Ram refrained from giving political benefits to his close relatives and dedicated his entire life to the welfare and well-being of the Bahujan Samaj.
