Ranchi, March 16 -- Ajay Kumar Singh on Monday warned that nursing colleges failing to comply with prescribed norms would face maximum penalties.

He made the statement while chairing a meeting of the execution committee in the Health, Medical Education, and Family Welfare Department to review recognition of nursing institutions.

During the meeting, applications from 61 nursing colleges seeking No Objection Certificates (NOCs) were discussed in detail.

Singh directed officials to convene a council meeting within 15 days and stated that NOCs would be granted only after the government approves the decisions and the institutions are found eligible.
