Lucknow, June 22 -- A massive fire broke out at a coaching centre in the Aliganj area of Lucknow, the capital of Uttar Pradesh, on Monday afternoon.
Several students were injured in the incident. The fire spread so rapidly that some students jumped from the second floor to save their lives. It is feared that some students are still trapped inside the coaching centre.
According to eyewitnesses, there was no escape route after the fire broke out. Fire brigade vehicles did not reach the spot until about half an hour after the information was received.
Amidst the smoke and flames, students jumped from roofs and windows to save their lives. The incident created panic in the area.
