Imphal, June 20 -- A large public rally wound through the heart of Imphal on Saturday as student and women's organisations demanded justice for six Liangmai Naga civilians killed more than a month after their abduction, raising the heat on a government they accuse of inaction.
The rally, organised by the All Naga Students' Association Manipur (ANSAM) under the slogan "United in purpose, united in voice," centred on the six Naga men who had been missing since May 13 after being allegedly abducted from Leilon Vaiphei village.
Their mortal remains were recovered on June 10 following nearly 24 hours of sustained search operations involving around 450 personnel of the Manipur Police, CRPF, and Assam Rifles, assisted by sniffer dogs and forensi...
