Raipur, April 4 -- Former India boxing great MC Mary Kom feels that one of the qualities that makes a sportsperson outstanding is the passion to break world records and the burning desire to bring glory to the country.
Th six-time gold medalist of the AIBA Women's World Boxing Championships said that "nowadays athletes are not as hungry".
Addressing the press at the Khelo India Tribal Games 2026 here on Saturday she said, "Nowadays the young players are not as hungry; this pains me. After winning one-two medals their hunger goes down.
"Even young players get satisfied very easily. They should not be satisfied or aspire to retire early; they should play for as long it is possible and go for records, and to bring glory to the country."Mary...
