Hyderabad, April 12 -- Maruti Suzuki India Limited, the country's largest carmaker, on Saturday delivered 108 units of its 'e VITARA' to customers in a single day at a handover ceremony held at the JRC Convention Centre in Hyderabad, marking a milestone in its electric mobility journey.

Speaking at the landmark event, Senior Executive Officer (Marketing & Sales) Partho Banerjee said Hyderabad, with an EV penetration of 14.5 percent, offers a strong market for electric vehicles and plays a key role in the company's EV strategy.

He said the company is focusing not only on manufacturing electric vehicles but also on building a supporting ecosystem, highlighting the availability of charging infrastructure in the city and across Telangana.
