New Delhi, March 16 -- Indian equity benchmarks opened on a positive note on Monday, with the BSE Sensex and Nifty 50 trading higher during the early session, supported by buying across select frontline stocks.
The 30-share BSE Sensex was trading at 74,775.93, up 212.01 points or 0.28 per cent around 9:57 am. The index opened at 74,415.79 and moved between a high of 74,983.29 and a low of 74,384.61 in early trade, compared with the previous close of 74,563.92.
Similarly, the Nifty 50 on the National Stock Exchange of India also traded in the green. The index was quoted at 23,213.05, gaining 61.95 points or 0.27 per cent. It opened at 23,116.10 and touched an early high of 23,284.65, while the day's low stood at 23,098.00. The benchmark ha...
