London, June 26 -- Maritime traffic via the Strait of Hormuz saw a noticeable reduction from Wednesday's peak levels, but nonetheless saw a steady flow through a newly designated maritime corridor established by Oman and the UN, despite Iran's objections as it was not party to the deliberations involving the corridor.
According to maritime intelligence platform Kpler, at least 42 commodity vessels transited the strategic waterway on Thursday, down from 57 vessels recorded on Wednesday. The vessels included oil tankers, LPG carriers and fertiliser vessels.
