Khammam, June 21 -- A domestic dispute between a husband and wife allegedly led to a tragic incident in Khammam district, resulting in the deaths of two young children and leaving their mother in critical condition.
According to preliminary information, the woman allegedly fed pesticide to her two children, identified as Vedic (7) and Tanishk (5), before attempting suicide herself.
The two children succumbed, while the mother was found in a critical condition. Local residents noticed the situation and immediately alerted the police.
The woman was shifted to a private hospital for treatment, where her condition remains critical, police sources said.
Police have registered a case and launched an investigation into the incident.
