Mumbai, Apr 25 ( UNI) Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis has clarified the state government's stance on making Marathi mandatory for taxi and auto-rickshaw drivers, stating that prioritizing the Marathi language in Mumbai and across Maharashtra is not wrong. He emphasized that there should be no controversy over encouraging the use of Marathi and added that drivers who do not know the language will be taught.The state government has taken a firm position that taxi and auto-rickshaw drivers must be able to communicate with locals in Marathi.
