Mumbai, Sept. 19 -- Marathi-language film 'Gondhal' has been selected as India's official entry for the 2026 Academy Awards in the International Feature Film category, the Film Federation of India (FFI) announced.
Abhay Sinha, President of the Film Federation of India and IMPA, stated that the film will represent India in the International Feature Film category of the Academy Awards. He congratulated the entire team of the Marathi film "Gondhal" on being selected as India's official entry for the Oscars 2026. He stated that this is a proud moment for Marathi cinema as well as the entire Indian film industry.
