Imphal, June 15 -- Story of A Forest, a 15-minute Manipuri animation film directed by Trishul Yumnam and Yaso Sharma, has been selected among 15 films for the National Animation Competition of the 19th Mumbai International Film Festival (MIFF) 2026, organised by the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, Government of India.
The week-long festival is being held in Mumbai from June 15 to 21.
Set in the misty hills of the Imphal Valley, the film follows a young boy named Ayangba, whose impatience and desire to prove himself lead him to take a forbidden shortcut through a dense forest, disturbing the delicate balance of nature.
