New Delhi, Sept. 8 -- Eight persons, including a minor, have been apprehended in connection with the fatal assault on a musician from Manipur, C. Vikram Singh, in South East Delhi on Monday. union Minister Kiren Rijiju has expressed distress over the incident, and said that the accused persons who worked as food delivery agents have been apprehended.
Rijiju said that during his talks with the police, he was told that a strong chargesheet will be filed in the matter within eight-nine days, so that the accused persons are given the appropriate sentence without delay.
The minister emphasized that it was crucial that strict punishment is meted out, so that people realise that such incidents cannot be taken lightly.
