Imphal, June 12 -- Two persons were killed on Thursday at Kultuh Village, Ukhrul District in an attack by unknown persons.
The two were identified as Letminlun and Lunminthang.
The bodies of six Naga civilians, abducted by Kuki militants on May 13, 2026 at Leilon Veiphai, were recovered yesterday after 28 days in captivity.
Deputy Chief Minister Losii Dikho expressed grief over the killings and called for restraint among the Naga community.
The discovery came just hours after 14 Kuki civilian detainees were released unharmed on the evening of June 9 by Naga village guards, following intervention by the United Naga Council and the Naga Peoples Organisation in a bid to foster peace.
