Manipur delegation attended executive meeting of North East Indigenous People's Forum

Imphal, July 10 -- The Executive Meeting of the North East Indigenous People's Forum (NEIPF) was held on Friday in Guwahati under the chairmanship of Anup Chetia, Chairman of the Forum. A team from Manipur also attended the event.

The meeting deliberated in detail on the observance of the International Day of the World's Indigenous Peoples Celebration, which will be hosted by the Nagaland Chapter of the Forum on August 9.

Members reviewed the preparations and resolved to make the event a meaningful platform to celebrate the rich cultural heritage, identity and aspirations of the indigenous peoples of the North East, according to N. Ibungochoubi, Secretary General of the North East Indigenous People's Forum (NEIPF).
