Imphal, Oct. 8 -- Manipur Chief Minister Yumnam Khemchand Singh today met union Minister for Road Transport and Highways Nitin Gadkari at his official residence in New Delhi and raised several issues concerning road infrastructure and connectivity in the State, according to the State Information Office.
During the meeting, Khemchand Singh urged Gadkari to initiate construction of the Shangshak-Tengnoupal Highway and sought sanction for the proposed elevated highway project in Imphal city.
The Chief Minister also urged the union Minister to ensure completion of the ongoing works on National Highway-37 and National Highway-2 during the current working season to improve connectivity and reduce the difficulties faced by people.
