Imphal, Aug. 21 -- The Manipur State Cabinet approved a series of policy, administrative and development measures during a meeting convened by Chief Minister Y Khemchand on Friday.
Among the key decisions, the Cabinet approved the extension of the Integrated Sewerage System for City of Imphal Phase-II project, funded by the New Development Bank, for two years up to January 8, 2029.
The Cabinet also approved the Manipur Outstanding Sportspersons (Special Appointment) Policy, 2026, providing for the special appointment of outstanding sportspersons to specified Group A posts in the Youth Affairs and Sports Department and the Police Department.
