Imphal, Feb. 27 -- Under Phase II of the Manipur Amur Falcon Tracking Project, three Amur falcons tagged with satellite transmitters in November 2025 have successfully completed their migration to Africa and are currently reported to be active and in good health.
The birds - Ahu, Alang and Apapang - were tagged on November 8, 2025, at the Chiuluan roosting site in Tamenglong district. The tagging exercise was conducted jointly by the Forest Department Manipur and the Wildlife Institute of India as part of ongoing satellite-based migration studies.
