Imphal, Sept. 1 -- In a significant decision towards improving health infrastructure in Manipur, union Minister of Health and Family Welfare, J.P. Nadda, has agreed to upgrade RIMS (Regional Institute of Medical Sciences), Imphal to the status of AIIMS (All India Institute of Medical Sciences).
This was informed by Nadda during a meeting with Chief Minister of Manipur Yumnam Khemchand Singh in New Delhi today, according to state information office. The Chief Minister expressed his profound gratitude to the union Minister of Health for taking care of improving health sector in the state.
Nadda also agreed to approve the proposal for the establishment of a new Medical College at Senapati District in the State.
