Imphal, June 26 -- Human Rights Alert (HRA), Manipur International Youth Centre (MIYC) and People's Progressive Alliance Manipur (PPAM) jointly organised the International Day in Support of Victims of Torture at the HRA Conference Hall, Kwakeithel, Imphal today.
The event brought together torture survivors, human rights activists, academicians and journalists. The observance opened with a music therapy session conducted by young psychologist Nongthang Ngamba Thongam. Survivors then shared accounts of their experiences, speaking to the physical and mental trauma they continue to endure and their prolonged struggle for recovery and justice.
