Imphal, July 23 -- Manipur Police, in coordination with central security agencies, carried out multiple operations across the state today, leading to the detention of a proclaimed offender wanted by the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI), the arrest of a suspected drug trafficker with heroin, and the apprehension of two alleged militants.
Acting on a request from the CBI's Patna unit, Manipur Police detained T.H. Kaoni, a proclaimed offender wanted in connection with a CBI case. The accused was later handed over to the CBI's Anti-Corruption Branch (ACB), Imphal, police said.
Police said the accused has been charge-sheeted under various provisions of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) for allegedly using forged and fabricated legal documents. ...
