Imphal, May 26 -- Governor of Manipur and Chairman of the Manipur State Kala Akademi, Ajay Kumar Bhalla, today inaugurated the 52nd All Manipur Shumang Leela (Theatre) Festival at Th. Iboyaima Shumang Leela Shanglen, Imphal, celebrating the rich tradition and enduring cultural legacy of Shumang Leela.
As part of the inaugural ceremony, the Governor released the Festival Brochure and a Seminar Book. Khuraijam Loken Singh, Minister of Art and Culture and Vice-Chairman, Manipur State Kala Akademi, Imphal, also attended the function.
The Governor, along with the Minister, distributed prizes to the winners of the 51st All Manipur Shumang Leela Festival, honouring their dedication and contribution to the State's rich cultural tradition.
