Imphal, May 11 -- The Coordinating Committee on Manipur Integrity (COCOMI) today strongly rebutted all claims that tried to portray the recent attacks in Kamjong district from Myanmar-based militants as a minor incident.

It said that the incidents were acts of "cross-border armed aggression" carried out by militants operating from Myanmar.

COCOMI spokesperson Ph. Shyamchand said the organisation described the Kuki Organisation for Human Rights Trust (KOHUR)'s statement as "misleading" and detached from the realities faced by people living along the Indo-Myanmar border.
