Imphal, July 14 -- The Manipur Cabinet, chaired by Chief Minister Yumnam Khemchand Singh, today approved a series of key policy decisions aimed at strengthening fire safety, improving the ease of doing business and advancing climate resilience in the state.
Among the major decisions, the Cabinet approved the promulgation of the Manipur Fire and Emergency Service Ordinance, 2026, which will replace and update the existing legal framework governing fire safety and emergency services in the state according to state information office.
