Shimla, May 11 -- Former Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister and Leader of Opposition Jai Ram Thakur on Monday, intensified the BJP's campaign for the Mandi Municipal Corporation elections, urging people to "avenge the neglect of Mandi" by the Congress government through their votes.
Addressing a series of public meetings and corner gatherings at Paddal, Nela, Talyahar, Bhagwahan and Mangwai in support of BJP candidates, Thakur launched a sharp attack on the Congress government, accusing it of ignoring development works in Mandi despite being in power for over three-and-a-half years.
