Shillong, May 31 -- union Minister for Youth Affairs and Sports Dr. Mansukh Mandaviya today joined hundreds of cyclists here in Meghalya's capital as part of the 76th edition of the nationwide 'Sundays on Cycle' campaign under the Fit India Movement, highlighting the role of cycling in improving public health, conserving fuel and promoting sustainable lifestyles.

Union Minister of State for Youth Affairs and Sports Raksha Khadse, Meghalaya Sports Minister Wailadmiki Shylla and several cycling enthusiasts also took part in the programme.

Addressing participants, Mandaviya said cycling offers multiple benefits beyond physical fitness, including reducing pollution, lowering fuel consumption and helping ease traffic congestion.
