Itanagar, May 5 -- A 36-year-old man was allegedly stabbed to death following a heated altercation in Tawang, with police arresting the accused within hours of the incident.
According to police, information was received late on May 4 that one Pema Wangchu (25), a resident of Dungse under Jang sub-division, had fatally attacked Akash Lama (36), a native of Jalpaiguri district in West Bengal, who had been residing in Tawang for several years.
Acting swiftly, a police team led by DySP Tasso Kato, along with Tawang Police Station Officer-In-Charge L/Insp Niyi Angu and other personnel, rushed to the spot and apprehended the accused in the early hours of Tuesday under the close supervision of Superintendent of Police Tasi Darang.
