New Delhi, Sept. 8 -- A 28-year-old man was shot dead in the Azadpur area of North-West Delhi during the early hours on Tuesday, police officials said in a statement.
The victim, identified as Alam, a resident of Jahangir Puri, died after sustaining multiple bullet injuries. During the preliminary investigation, police found the incident took place at around 1:45 am in New Sabzi Mandi.
Following the shooting, police staff reached the spot and rushed the victim to Babu Jagjivan Ram Memorial Hospital. Doctors declared him dead upon arrival, officials said in a statement.
