Bijnor, March 7 -- A 45-year-old woman was allegedly shot dead by her son-in-law following an argument in Bijnor, police disclosed on Saturday.
The incident took place in Phulsanda Gangadas village under Nahtaur Police Station. The deceased has been identified as Bably.
According to police, Bably's daughter Bhavna had eloped with Sajjal on March 29, 2024 and later married him in a court. The couple lived outside the village for about a year before returning to settle near their families.
On Friday night around 9 PM, an argument broke out between Bably and her son-in-law Sajjal. Enraged by the dispute, the accused allegedly shot Bably in the head and temple with a country-made pistol, killing her on the spot.
