Gondia, Aug. 29 -- : A 32-year-old man was allegedly murdered with a stone following a dispute in Maharashtra's Gondia district, police said on Saturday.
The deceased, identified as Mithun Bhaiyalal Thakre, a resident of Nawatola village, was allegedly attacked near Ekdant Colony on Angur Bagiya Road under the Ramnagar police station limits shortly after midnight.
According to police, the incident stemmed from an altercation in which Mithun allegedly abused and manhandled the father of the accused, Sandeep Meshram (42).
Enraged by the alleged insult to his father, Meshram reportedly struck Mithun on the head with a heavy floor stone lying nearby.
Mithun sustained grievous injuries and died on the spot, police said.
