Itanagar, March 12 -- In its continued drive against drug trafficking, Namsai Police has apprehended a person with suspected heroin in Mahadevpur under Namsai district in Arunachal Pradesh.
Police said on Thursday that, acting on reliable information received on Wednesday, a police team led by the officer-in-charge of Mahadevpur police station, Tabin Padung, launched a search operation during which one person, Kalingto Manpoong, was apprehended from New Mohong village, Mahadevpur. On searching the suspect, police recovered 5.23 gm of a whitish-orange coloured substance suspected to be heroin (Diacetylmorphine) from his possession.
