Chandigarh, June 5 -- What began as a personal response to a tragic road accident has evolved into an 11-year-long public service mission for an Amritsar resident who has been repairing potholes and improving road safety across the city using his own resources.

Social worker Gulshan Bhatia has spent more than a decade filling potholes on city roads and installing reflectors at accident-prone locations, aiming to reduce the risk faced by commuters and prevent avoidable road mishaps.
